Since 1851, we have been dedicated to serving our customers the finest apothecary skincare. In 2021, it’s an honor to celebrate the 170th Anniversary of the Kiehl’s family venture that started on the corner of 13th Street and Third Avenue in New York City’s East Village.

Kiehl’s made “Try Before You Buy” the pharmacy’s unofficial motto. This principle of personalized customer service, together with generous sampling, has remained a Kiehl’s tradition for over 99 years.

In recognition of Kiehl’s historic contributions as a pharmacy, 100+ Kiehl’s artifacts were inducted into the Smithsonian National Museum.

Kiehl’s expanded the offerings to a full-service pharmacy, a family tradition of personalized service is established.
